Hailing from a farm in small-town St. Anthony, ND, Laurie realized by 11 years old that she was not cut out to be a farm girl. After working in hospitality for years, Laurie first made contact with First Court when she acted as a juror during a mock trial. From there, she joined the team in May 2021.
The three most important responsibilities of her position according to Laurie are: “Choosing outgoing, honest, reliable jurors to match demographics requested by the client, staying organized and meeting deadlines for each juror project, and being a professional representative of our company while being personable and relatable to our jurors."
What’s your favorite thing about working at First Court?
For sure OUR TEAM, but I also love the challenge of putting together that perfect puzzle of jurors while utilizing my organizational, detailing and customer service skills.
What are two fun facts about you?
My mom is the oldest of 18 children (from the same parents), so some of my aunts are younger than I am, and I love fishing and particularly ice fishing.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
This is so hard for me as there are so many places I want to see, plus I love to travel. I have always hoped that when we get to heaven, we will be able to see all the beauty on earth.
What's your biggest dream?
My husband dreams big enough for both of us, so I just want to be happy and enjoy my life and the people around me.
What would you order at a coffee shop?
Sugar free vanilla latte (with a blueberry scone if I'm feeling naughty).
