First Court has evaluated many complicated cases involving disputed claims of respondeat superior. One typical issue: Is a trucking company liable when one of its drivers drives a company truck to his girlfriend’s house, snorts a line of cocaine, drinks a half a case of beer, and then drives the company truck into the front end of an oncoming mini-van, roasting alive a screaming family of four?
It can be challenging to communicate to a jury the fairness of a legal label in cases involving the natural human sympathy which comes with a catastrophic injury. Our venues for such this sort of research have ranged from Massachusetts to California.
